What we collect
Gelza Color processes account details such as name, email, verification state, salon memberships, and security activity. Salon owners provide salon details, inventory, private colors, bottle codes, and invitations. Search events contain the active salon, account identifier, normalized color query, result count, selected color when applicable, platform, app version, and timestamp. If you allow approximate location while using the app, a coarsened device position is sent to select a nearby sponsored offer.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate accounts, isolate each salon's inventory, provide color search and offline synchronization, operate invitations, show owners their stock status, protect the service, support users, produce aggregate product analytics, and select a nearby sponsored offer when location permission is granted. We do not use salon search analytics as a missing-color report queue.
Privacy and retention
Gelza Color requests approximate foreground location only. It does not request background location, infer location from your IP address, or retain device coordinates as a location history; permission denial falls back to the Main campaign or an optional saved salon ZIP. Authentication secrets are never included in search analytics. Raw search events are retained for a limited operational period, currently 90 days by default, while privacy-conscious daily aggregates may be retained longer. Security audit records are access-controlled and redact known secret fields. Account deletion requests enter a controlled review process so legal, security, and tenant-integrity obligations can be handled safely.
Sharing and service providers
We disclose data only to service providers needed to host, secure, email, monitor, and support Gelza Color, or when required by law. Salon inventory and salon-only colors are not made available to unrelated salons.
Your choices
You may allow or deny approximate location in your device settings; denying it does not block color search or account features. You may update profile details, request account deletion, or ask about access and correction by emailing support@nail.biz. Salon owners control their team memberships, invitations, and salon-only inventory.
Security and changes
We use tenant authorization, encrypted transport, hashed credentials, rate limiting, audit trails, and least-privilege controls. No system can promise absolute security. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
